Launched in 2004 the e-Festival of Ideas is the only event of its kind in Australia, hosting an intergenerational conversation accessible to young people (and the not so young) right around the country (and the world). 

Based around online forum discussions between young people and guests, the e-Festival is supported by media galleries and resources (images, music, audio, film, articles, blogs) created both by guests and young people.  Guests are a mix of industry leaders, academics, politicians, media commentators and successful young people. 

The e-Festival of Ideas extends on the existing Vibewire.net platform, following the same structure as the site, with three streams;

      PULSE: political and social issues

      LIFE: lifestyle and entertainment

      CREATE: creative expression 

Each section of the festival hosts three different theme discussion panels for the duration of the festival, with themes developed by the Vibewire community in the months leading up to the e-Festival of Ideas. 

Last year almost 80 guests from five countries participated, along with over 300 visitors, with several thousand more checking the discussions out.
